Went to Target today and decided to buy a football mini box. love football, love betting, love betting on football. otherwise, i probably wouldn't watch football at all. decided to purchase a 2008 donruss threads box. 5 packs for $9.99, great deal right? fracking wrong!
went home and opened the mini box... found out that the outside shrink wrapping has been macgyvered, and the packs were also slightly open. didn't really sink in until i counted the cards and were 4 cards short. was this an error? or thievery on the lowest scale? i think the latter.
on a positive note, these cards have a pretty clean style. i like the simplistic design, a la spx. i really enjoy looking at cards that have minimalist design. i think it puts the emphasis on the player, and not the card. does that make sense? Piet Mondriaan would surely approve. google the guy folks if it skims you.
please feel free to suggest any football cards/sets i should be purchasing.
And now, for something completely different. i like reading sportscards blogs. one in particular is sportscards uncensored. SCU pointed out on his latest blog re: another blogger that is rebutting (hehehe butt) all his post paragraph by paragraph. i think its flattering actually... to have someone take time out of their day to read your thoughts, and then post counter ideas. i want one of those. SCU...sent that guy over to me please. i see the other guys points. SCUs sounds bitter at times. but that is his opinion. seems like one of those snooty guys at the local comic shop. but its his blog, and he's entitled to it.
